The Main street in Deng Feng city today was full of percussion instrument sounds firecrackers 500 white-coated monk warriors and more than 20000 students of the 80 odd schools in the area; neatly lines up in formation carrying banners, flags, swords and staffs in front of the urban district and on Shaolin Temple's mountain road.

Celebrations held also in Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Kaifeng and many more major cities.

The Shaolin Temple Abbot Shi Yong Xin said that he personally will go out to the the main gate of Shaolin with a smile and will greet all the visitors.

In order to attract more visitors, Dengfeng city reduces prices for all scenic spots. The Shaolin Temple admission ticket reduces to 10 Yuan from 40 Yuan, other scenic spots will reduce to 5 Yuan.
