Zhengzhou-Shaolin Temple Expressway will Open to Traffic at the End of January 2004.

According to the Zhengzhou Municipal Communications Bureau, Zhengzhou-Shaolin Temple Expressway, the first tourist freeway in Henan Province, is to open to traffic on trial basis on January 30, 2004.

As seen by the deputies of Zhengzhou Municipal People¡¯s Congress and the Political Consultative Conference who made an inspection tour yesterday, the freeway was already through from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng where Shaolin Temple is located.

Up to date, 65% of the traffic safety facilities had been completed, and greening work had started.
