Posted at Apr 03, 05 in Shaolin Temple News

Venerable Master of Shaolin Temple, Shi Su Xi, has been in hospital for the past 6 weeks. The Venerable Master, got sick because he has been in the wheel chair for long time, due to Parkinson's disease and did not have much physical activity, so he got digestive problems.

So far, he is in good condition, hopefully, he will be back to shaolin temple soon. The Shaolinsi Historic society wish to the Venerable Master, a quickly comeback.

Master Shi Su Xi, was the former Abbot of the Shaolin Temple, after Shi Xing Zheng passed away. He went to the Temple in 1935 at the age of 12. When Shi Xing Zheng perished, he took the office of the Abbot. But Su Xi was stroke by the Parkinson disease (a disease that makes one tremble and paralyse). The disease deteriorates, and he had to let his office, as the demands of the Shaolin Abbot's office were assuming. Now he lives in the main building of the Shaolin Temple, and at that time very rarely, or never accepts visitors.

He is one of the most respected Shaolin monks, and the teacher of the most "de" and "xing" generation monks, of the Shaolin Temple.
